PRIOR SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS

MODESTO VALLEY HOME EDUCATORS CONVENTION

Worksop Topic: "How to Discover and Develop Your Child's First 100 Hours of Talent"

Jonathan spoke to a group of homeschool parents who packed to room to find out how a child can choose an interest and turn it into a marketable talent, beginning at the age of 12.

Why did these parents choose this workshop to attend?

  • Some had children with developing talents (music, sports, photography) but wondered if the time invested in these activities was worth it.
  • Some wanted to know how to integrate the child's education with th developing talent.
  • Others had the unmotivated child who wanted help deciding how to direct and excite the child with something unique that the child can develop.

SPEAKING ONE SHEET FOR JONATHAN AND RENEE HARRIS

Short Bio: Jonathan and Renee are a husband/wife team who has raised their teens to have talent. They learned early on that beginning at the age of 12, kids are ripe and ready to turn an interest into a full-blown talent that can serve their family, and ultimately others, in such a way that when developed, can even be marketable. The Harrises have nine children and are eager to share their story with you.

Topics we cover as a couple:

  • How the answer to self-esteem issues and lack of motivation problems can be turned around by using your family's unique culture as an asset.
  • Let's use YOUR (the podcaster's) teen child as a case study to identify 5 potential interests that can be turned into marketable skills.
  • Ditch the Curriculum (or at least the mindset): Make your curriculum work for you to develop talent
  • How to showcase your teenager's marketable talent
  • How your family's unique identity can be used to launch your child's ownuniqueness

SAMPLE QUESTIONS TO ASK US

  • What are your adult children doing now that proves this method works?
  • Tell us the talent development path of one or two of your children.
  • What is the spiritual justification for developing strong talents in your children?

SPEAKER BIO:

Jonathan and Renee are a husband and wife team with years of experience educating their
children at home while running an online handcrafted skin care business. When their eldest
child turned 12 year old, it became very clear to them that they did not want their children to just
fill up buckets of knowledge for each school grade.

Instead of following the typical education route, they started experimenting with making their
son’s traditional study work support the development of a marketable talent that made sense to
his strengths, abilities, and unique drive.

By 16, this son developed enough skills to start his own aerial drone business and by the time
he graduated from homeschool high school, he was able to fully support himself financially and
create the path he wanted to follow.

Jonathan and Renee have since graduated four more of their nine children to create their own
unique paths through careful guidance of talent development.

Over the past 8 years, they’ve fine-tuned and developed a strategy now dubbed “Parent Their
Passion” that can be used to create a compelling & irresistible unique portfolio of the value of a
child’s talent. Jonathan and Renee are now coaching other parents through the step-by-step
method that can be used with any child, of any type of personality.

And they’re passionate about it.
